Will Starve For Food

Whew! It's been a crazy 2 weeks. So crazy that I haven't had a chance to post. The bulk of my time outside of work has been devoted to our youth group. We have been prepping for our 30 Hour Famine that we are participating in on March 6th and 7th. I am so excited about it because we get to starve our bodies for Christ. We have been raising money for children in Africa. $1 will feed 1 child for 1 day. How amazing is that? I know plenty of people (myself included) that will go out to eat once and the bill will total to $20 to $30. What if we could send all the change we have left over in a week to Africa? Do you think it could make a difference? I know it could.

If you feel like you want to give a donation, please feel free to email me and I will work with you to help others. Or if you want to get more information about the 30 Hour Famine ministry, please don't hesitate to ask.

Welcome!

I would like to formally and informally welcome you to my blog. I've had this blog registered for weeks now, but I haven't been able to come up with something to write about for my first few posts. I hate starting something without some sort of plan. So now I have some ideas and somewhat of a schedule in my head. This beast is off and running now!

Now I'm going to give you a glimpse into what you will get from me in the next few posts...

1. One of my good friends, Paul Crutcher, talked to me and Hyatt last night about a project he had in one of his classes at Lander. He described it as "a walk through his musical life" and I found that to be a great topic for every musician to think about.

2. I love youth ministry and having the chance to affect young people's lives. I want to write out my last message I gave them because I felt that it should be read by more. I am definitely going to do a lot of posts from my messages, along with experiences I have with the youth.

Anyway...that's all for now. Keep an eye out for my next few posts. I'm really excited about them and I hope you can stick around to see how this blog grows.
